How Trackting Smart Works

Learn about it to make the most of it

How does it work?

Know your SMART

Trackting SMART consists of two elements: the Tracker and the Tag.

The Tracker is placed on the vehicle and is the heart of the system, with a motion sensor, GPS, and integrated SIM with no subscription fees.

The keyring Tag, which you will always carry with you, allows the Tracker to recognize when you are driving.

The Tracker only activates when you park: it does not track your movements but reacts immediately in case of theft.

To the Guide

You have moved your vehicle

When you start your vehicle, the Tracker senses the movement and wakes up from standby, searching for the Tag to verify that it is you and not a thief driving.

With the new SMART V3 model, as soon as the Tag connects to the Tracker, it flashes blue three times. To learn more, read here.

When the Tag is detected, the Tracker returns to standby without tracking your movements, optimizing battery life and respecting your privacy.

Good to know

If you open the App while driving, you will always see your last parking position. This is normal: Trackting SMART only tracks the vehicle in case of theft.

In parking

You have parked and walked away

Every time you park and move away from your vehicle, the Tracker automatically activates and starts protecting you.

With the new SMART V3 model, the Tag flashes green three times to indicate that it has disengaged from the Tracker. To learn more, read here.

After a few minutes, you will also receive a parking notification with the location on the App.

Any movement in your absence, i.e., without the Tag nearby, is recognized as an attempted theft and will trigger the alarm.

Good to know

If you park indoors, the GPS may not detect the location. Don't worry, the vehicle is still protected, and in case of theft, tracking will begin as soon as the vehicle moves outdoors.

On alert

The device detects movement in your absence

If the Tracker detects unauthorized movement, i.e., without the Tag, it enters Alarm mode, meaning it sends you a notification and/or a phone call and begins GPS tracking of the vehicle. By opening the App, you can check its position, direction, and speed.

Good to know

You can adjust the motion sensor sensitivity of the Tracker via the App, to suit your needs and your vehicle.

Battery & Charging

The Tracker is rechargeable via USB-C. You can view the charging status on the App and you will receive a notification if the battery is low.

The Tag is equipped with a long-lasting, non-rechargeable button cell battery (CR2032).

Good to know

The Tracker should not be left constantly powered on in the vehicle, as it would be easily detected by thieves and the battery could deteriorate. Furthermore, if powered, the Tracker does not send events and notifications, so in case of theft it will not be able to notify you.
