Can I choose to activate the No Fee service if I have already purchased Trackting BIKE with a subscription?
No, these are different products. If you already have a Trackting BIKE with a subscription, it is not possible to switch to the No Subscription Fee plan for your current device.
How much does Trackting BIKE cost?
There are two GPS tracker models: BIKE T8 and BIKE T9, which you can purchase with two pricing options:
- BIKE T8 with subscription: €99 + €29/year subscription.
- BIKE T8 without subscription: €199.
- BIKE T9 with subscription: €129 + €29/year subscription.
- BIKE T9 without subscription: €229.
What does "30 days of service included for Trackting BIKE with subscription" mean?
If you purchase a BIKE T8 or T9 device with a subscription, you can use it for free for 30 days right away. At the end of this period, you will need to activate the subscription, which can be easily purchased through the app using a credit card.
Which bikes are compatible with Trackting BIKE?
BIKE T8 is compatible with any bicycle and e-bike equipped with standard bottle cage mounts.
BIKE T9 is ideal for mountain bike suspension forks. You hide it in the 1 1/8 inch steerer tube with an opening of at least 22mm in diameter. At the top, the expander can reach a maximum diameter of 26mm.
Please note: it is not compatible with double crown forks.
Can I install Trackting Bike myself on my bike?

How long does the battery last? How is it recharged?
The Trackting BIKE battery lasts over 6 months without attempted theft. However, each theft consumes energy, as the device connects to the network and activates GPS for tracking. When the owner uses the vehicle, no tracking occurs, thus optimizing battery life. Battery status can be monitored via the app, which sends notifications when it needs recharging. It recharges easily by connecting the device to a USB charger with the included charging cable.
Note: Some power banks may not be compatible due to the device's low charging current, which may not be detected. In such cases, use a wall outlet or another power bank.
How do alarm calls work? Are they free?
Yes, they are free. You can receive as many as you want if you don't answer (i.e. you end the call using the red button on your smartphone). If you do happen to answer, don't worry: you have 10 available per month, which renew automatically.
To make the most of the service, we recommend disabling any voicemail or automatic answering services, as these types of services could automatically deduct call credits. You can find a guide on how to do this at this link.
What is GPS accuracy?
The device detects the position using three systems (GPS, Glonass, Galileo) with a minimum error margin, up to 5 meters outdoors.
How do I enable the Alarm feature?
Trackting BIKE is activated directly from the App via Bluetooth connection, so to activate/deactivate it you need to be near your bike.
Does it necessarily have to be connected to the smartphone's Bluetooth to work?
The device only needs a Bluetooth connection to be activated and deactivated. The App does NOT use Bluetooth in the background, so it does not drain your smartphone's battery when it is off.
If I don't renew my Trackting BIKE subscription, what happens?
Only if you have purchased a Trackting BIKE device "with a subscription" can you decide not to renew the service: the device will simply not work until you decide to reactivate the service.
Please note: if the service is not renewed within 18 months of the last expiration date, the internal SIM will be deactivated and it will no longer be possible to reactivate it.
How to activate or renew the service on Trackting BIKE with a subscription?
To renew your subscription, you can purchase the service within the Trackting App:
- Go to the Device Details tab
- Scroll down to the Subscription section
- Click on Renew your plan
- If you haven't already, enter your billing information
- Select your preferred plan
- Purchase it and pay with a credit card
What are the differences with Apple AirTag?
The main differences are as follows:
1) Theft Notifications: Trackting BIKE is a bicycle anti-theft device that sends calls in case of theft, whereas AirTag, designed as a loss prevention device for personal items, does not provide theft alerts.
2) Connectivity: BIKE is equipped with an integrated SIM that connects to the GSM network, working everywhere and even remotely, unlike AirTags which rely on proximity to an iPhone for location tracking via the "Find My" network.
3) Satellite Positioning: BIKE uses an active GPS antenna with satellite systems (GPS, Galileo, Glonass) for real-time and detailed tracking, while AirTag locates its position through a nearby Apple device.
4) Detectability: AirTag can be easily detected by a thief via smartphone notifications, making it less effective in theft situations.
Can I use a SIM card other than the built-in one?
This is not possible, as the integrated SIM is not replaceable.
Can I manage multiple devices from one phone?
Yes. You can link as many Trackting BIKE and Trackting SMART devices as you want to the Trackting app on your phone. This way, you can simultaneously monitor your vehicles: bikes, motorbikes, scooters, cars, campers, etc.
Who knows my vehicle's location? And what about privacy?
We are very careful about privacy: your bike's location is completely secure and encrypted, making it invisible to everyone, including us. In Parking mode, BIKE only saves the last known location, without creating a history. In Alarm mode, it always records and displays the last known location to facilitate bike recovery in case of theft.
Important: BIKE is not a tracker for fleets or vehicles, but an alarm system that activates tracking only in case of theft.
I have 2 phones, can I manage the device from both at the same time?
Yes, just install the Trackting App on both, entering the same username and password to use it simultaneously on both phones.
If there is no cell signal (GSM) in my garage, is the vehicle protected?
Yes, BIKE will activate in case of theft and will send you its location and a notification immediately as soon as it can connect to the cellular network.
If there is no satellite signal (GPS) coverage in my garage, what happens?
When parking in garages or underground cellars with thick ceilings, GPS coverage may not be available, making it impossible to view the bike's location on the map. However, your bike remains protected. In the event of theft, BIKE immediately activates the alarm and sends a notification and a phone call. The updated location will be provided as soon as the Tracker on the bike picks up the GPS signal once taken outside.

Can I charge my BIKE device with a power bank?
Yes, it is possible; however, with some power banks, the device might not charge because the charging current is very low and some power banks might not detect the voltage and therefore not initiate charging. In such cases, it will be necessary to use a wall socket or another power bank.
How do I pair the device with my smartphone?
It is essential to keep the Bluetooth connection active on your smartphone to automatically connect it to the BIKE device via the app. This process eliminates the need to manually search for the BIKE device, as recognition and pairing happen automatically.
What happens if I don't turn on my smartphone's Bluetooth?
Trackting BIKE can only work through the app installed on your smartphone via Bluetooth connection. If the Bluetooth connection is deactivated, the device will not be able to function, and a message will appear in the app inviting you to activate it to use the protection and localization service.
What happens if I disable GPS on my smartphone, will BIKE still work?
No, for the correct functioning of the app and the BIKE device, it is essential that the smartphone's geolocation is always active, otherwise the device will not be able to connect to the phone and it will not be possible to access the service. Furthermore, when the app protection function is activated, the location is sampled by the mobile phone's GPS module.
